was contacted by REMKOL Integrated Services Ltd, a company
based in Nigeria, West Africa to produce two digital
billboards to advertise and actively promote its business in
the city of Lagos. Epic LED had been looking to further
expand onto the global business landscape and with this
contract marks a great stride into opening up a world of
opportunities on the African continent.

Since the international market varies from the U.S.
market two specially customized 16mm and 10mm digital
billboards were delivered to the client to satisfy the
requirements of that locale. The billboards were customized
to function at an optimum level in the sub-Saharan nation
because Nigeria's weather pattern fluctuates between dry,
sunny, high humidity and high temperatures, to very wet and
rainy periods in a given year. Epic LED created a
high-temperature CPU to withstand the heat index and the
power supply source was specifically tailored to meet the
voltage requirements of the country. A Local Area Network
(LAN) was also created for the client to remotely access the
system in order to allow for real-time monitoring and remote
programming from the shores of the United States.
Epic LED produces digital billboards with an adjustable
current source that ensures minimum grayscale loss that
result in optimal pictures in any kind of environment day or
night. The 16-bit color processing and super high refresh
rate (3840Hz to 7680HZ) provide stunning flicker-free
broadcast quality video images. The unique horizontal and
vertical louver design eliminate the mosaic phenomenon
caused by the joints of the shades. Each LED pixel has its
own brightness and chroma value and the calibration
technology can adjust the brightness and chroma for every
LED lamp. Moreover, every panel has an independent
intelligence module, which can record the running time, LED
brightness and chroma value simultaneously so that after
calibration, the entire LED display can sustain even
brightness and constant chroma levels throughout the life of
the display. Epic LED utilizes the highest quality power
supply and signal connectors as well as automatically
recognized input and output signals to ensure the best
stability and protection levels for its panels. The creative
design and mould processing technology allows both panel and
casing to be shaped without welding. This process ensures a
high precision and consistency of the entire structure while
making it visually stunning. A unique pixel sharing
technology creates a visual resolution 400% clearer than the
physical resolution image, which greatly improves the
quality of the video image and enhances the resolution for
the entire screen. Epic utilizes IP65 rated panels which are
able to withstand the most severe outdoor environment thanks
to its unique metal stretching moulds, which allow the
cabinet to be firm, dustproof and waterproof.
